The Community Project

A Permanent Home Built Together

In partnership with the Pumas and the local community, Rise Beyond Development plans to transform the existing field into a dedicated, self-contained American football venue. The project will create a safe place for athletes to compete, families to gather, and young people to grow through sport, mentorship, and service.

The venue is designed around durable, adaptable structures that can be developed over time with local materials, community support, sponsorship, and artwork celebrating Costa Rican pride, family, faith, and Puma spirit.

The Alajuela Pumas

More than a football team, the Pumas are athletes, coaches, parents, neighbors, and young people united by a belief in what sport can build. Their commitment to one another is the heart of this project.

Their Story

Football Is Where the Community Comes Together

The Pumas have built a football family on an adapted community field, creating a place where players can compete, younger athletes can learn, and families can belong. What they have created already reaches far beyond the game.

Rise Beyond is working alongside them—not simply for them—to help turn that foundation into a permanent home. With support from the municipality and the wider community, the goal is a venue that reflects Puma pride and creates opportunity for generations to come.

See What We Are Building Together

The existing community field is the foundation. Our preliminary plan shows how it can grow into a safe, dedicated home for the Pumas family and the wider community.

A Vision for the Community

Currently, all American football in Costa Rica is played on adapted soccer fields. We are changing that. By working directly with the local municipality, Rise Beyond is developing the first ever dedicated American football facility in the country.

This isn't just a field—it's a statement. A commitment to the growth of the sport, the safety of the athletes, and the unity of the community.
